Since Everett's birthday is in October, I ran with the pumpkin theme.
I'm sure soon enough he will want Spiderman or something, so I figured this year I'd do something I really wanted.
Here is the treats table. I've been thinking of making yellow an accent color in this room, but the orange actually looks kinda good!
I drew Jack-O-Lantern faces on cups of Mandarin oranges, made a fun fall snack mix, and bought chocolate with orange icing cupcakes, pumpkin and cheesecake cupcakes and sugar cookies from Muddy's Bake Shop. The pumpkin cupcake with cream cheese icing was my favorite.
While we are on the subject of food, we had a food truck come! Rock N Dough has this incredible wood-fire oven inside a pizza truck. They sell at my market each Saturday, and they do parties. This was the most genius decision I made. They rolled up, cooked, brought us fresh pizzas every few minutes, and then they rolled away. No mess. No fuss. Amazing food, and I didn't have to worry about anything. So good!!
Back inside, in the front room, I put several long tables together and lots of pumpkins. I also had pumpkins in our entryway. And even in the fireplace. The fireplace was Chris' idea, and I really like it.
